Great true crime podcast
I just found these two wonderful ladies a couple days ago and I am HOOKED!!! Keep doing a great job ladies!! I absolutely love you podcast
Great for the Commute
I have really enjoyed listening to the Hard Times and True Crimes podcasts on my drives to and from work. I occasionally have to take a detour to give an episode time to finish! I really appreciate the conversational/story-telling format and think it a great way to learn about little-known cases or to get a fresh perspective on famous (infamous) ones. Keep up the good work Darlene and Melody!
Great Podcast!
Added to my list of favorite true crime podcasts. Y’all are doing a great job!
All around amazing podcast!
The opener, the music, and the story’s telling is amazing!!
Entertaining and informative
The title says it all, hard times and true crimes. I love that these ladies present you with the facts and the rumors and leave the conclusion up to you. Some of these stories are local to my area so I have heard about them before but I still learned something new from the podcast. Thanks ladies! Great job!

Just listened to episode 1. I am a NC native, but had never heard this story before, and I did not know there was a town in NC named "Lawsonville". I am very curious about the song. I am glad you quoted one of the verses. Do you know of any recordings of the song? Any evidence that Arthur's accident at age 32 could have been suicide? So sad. Looking forward to more episodes.
Such a good listen!
I love the creativity of this podcast! Darlene and Melody have such a good way of telling the story to each other and to the listeners— super easy to follow along side them! LISTENING AGAIN! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best murder podcast ever!
I love this podcast! Darlene and Melody do a great job of adding a little extra history to the story to help you understand what it was like for the people involved without get way off topic! The man doing the intros has one of those voices you could listen to all day long, like James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman! I would definitely recommend this podcast to anybody who likes murder mysteries! What is
